At the time of our visit, the Conrad Hotel Dublin was undergoing some refurbish work, and The One Bedroom Suite we stayed in has a new specification after the renovation.

Hotel Review Details

  • Arrival Date: 13th January 2016
  • Room Type: One Bedroom Suite
  • Room Number: 336
  • Hotel Address: Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, Ireland
  • Location: Google Maps

We had initially booked a Premium King Room and requesting an upgrade to the One Bedroom Suite at a cost of 75 euros.

A couple of days before our visit, we email the hotel because the current price of the One Bedroom Suite was 10 euros less than the 249 euros paid for the Premium King Room.

We received an email back from The Front of House Manager John Hegarty, who confirmed the upgraded to the One Bedroom Suite at no extra cost.

Check-in

We arrived at the hotel before 11.00 am expecting to leave our bags at reception and go for a wander around Dublin.

To our surprise the room was ready, and the check-in process was quick and easy.

The bedroom had a comfortable king sized bed with a LED TV, which included premium sports channels, complimentary mineral water, bathrobes and slippers.

The bathroom had a separate bathtub and shower with Aromatherapy Associates bathroom amenities.

Breakfast

Full English Breakfast

Full English Breakfast

Due to the refurbishment work at the hotel breakfast was not being served at the The Coburg Brasserie.

Breakfast was the only disappointing aspect of our visit to the Conrad Hotel Dublin. However, we understood the reasons why.

Although the selection of food was limited the full English breakfast and service was excellent.

Restaurants and Bars

Having already had a big meal for lunch, we were only looking to have a snack and a couple of drinks for dinner.

We decided to stay at the hotel and eat at Alfie Byrne’s and watch the Liverpool Arsenal game with 1 kilo of spicy chicken wings and a cold beer.

The bar had over 30 craft beers on draught, and the menu had a choice of main meals and sides.

Verdict

The only issue with the hotel was the breakfast location, but we couldn’t fault anything else so the stay exceeded our expectations.
