Sol Oasis Marrakech
Although a few shortcomings overshadowed our stay at Sol Oasis Marrakech, it was exactly what we expected from a four-star all-inclusive hotel.
The check-in process took longer than expected, which was disappointing. Although booked via British Airways Holidays, our Melia Gold Status was neither acknowledged nor considered. Additionally, the rooms, while clean and comfortable, were smaller than anticipated, making them cramped and with little storage space.
While the initial food options at Sol Oasis Marrakech were appealing, they soon became repetitive and lacked the variety we had hoped for. This is an area where the hotel could improve to better meet the expectations of its guests.

Honest Review of Sol Oasis Marrakech
As Gold Reward Members with Melia, we were thrilled to spend five nights at the Sol Oasis. Our stay was booked through British Airways Holidays, which offered a double-tier point benefit when booking directly. This was an excellent opportunity to earn 480 tier points for British Airways Executive Club Gold Status.
There was a bit of trepidation as the hotel was only four-star and all-inclusive, but we were hopeful as it had a good rating on Tripadvisor.
Location
The Sol Oasis All-Inclusive Hotel in Marrakech is on the city’s outskirts, about half an hour’s drive from Marrakech Menara Airport, the bustling Medina, and famous attractions like Jemaa el-Fnaa. It offers a blend of modern and traditional Moroccan architecture.
Hotel Services & Facilities
The hotel offers a 24-hour reception and an ATM in the lobby. As with most all-inclusive hotels, there is daily and evening entertainment if that’s your thing.
You can unwind by the outdoor pool (heated in the winter months), let the kids have a blast at the kids club, stay active at the gym and tennis court, and grab a quick bite at the snack bar.

Check-in
Upon arrival, be prepared for the daily Tourism and City Tax, which amounts to about 73 Moroccan Dirham or £5.80 daily. Unfortunately, this caused a bottleneck during the check-in process at Sol Oasis Marrakech.
Despite arriving on time, we waited longer than expected to access our room. The staff seemed a bit disorganised, which added to the frustration of the experience.
Sol Room
Our experience in the Sol Room was a bit of a rollercoaster. The room was smaller than we had hoped, but credit where it’s due, it was kept spick and span. The furniture had seen better days, and the bathroom cried out for a little TLC.
Storage space was limited, so if you plan a longer stay, you might want to get cosy with your suitcase. The minibar didn’t offer any soft or alcoholic drinks, but they did keep us topped up with bottled water—a small but thoughtful touch.
The double bed wasn’t precisely cloud-like, but we slept okay. There was also a TV on the wall, although we never did get around to switching it on.

However, on a positive note, the area outside Room 2202 was fantastic. A small bistro table and chairs were outside the room, and because the room was on the first floor, there was additional space to sit, enjoy a drink, and watch the entertainment from afar at night.
Restaurants & Bars
The food at Sol Oasis Marrakech left much to be desired. The menu was repetitive, offering the same dishes day after day, and the quality was subpar. We found ourselves seeking meals outside the hotel to enjoy a more varied and satisfying dining experience.
