The Aspire Lounge at Manchester Airport Terminal 1 is not the only lounge in the Terminal. But it is one of the best for viewing the airport apron and runways.
As a Priority Pass Member, there are two options at Terminal 1. The Escape Lounge and The Aspire Lounge. There is also the 1903 Lounge, but it is still closed when writing the review because of Covid-19.
Opening Hours
4.00 am – 12:00 pm Daily (from 1st November 2021)
Access to Lounge
The average cost per person is usually £26.99 and for a maximum of two hours.
However, I’m a Priority Pass Member via my American Express Platinum Card and, therefore, wasn’t charged.
I arrived at the lounge early as I stayed at the Radisson Blue at Manchester Airport the night before.
For the first time, the lounge was quiet, but I suggest it was more to do with the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions. Therefore when travel gets back to normal, you might want to consider booking the lounge in advance.
Layout
The lounge is on one level with work booths and family booths. Several tables and chairs overlook the airport apron and runways, with some sofas and raised seating areas with stools, similar to the Aspire Lounge at Liverpool Airport.
Facilities
There is disabled access although there are no toilets in the lounge you have to leave and use the airport facilities.
Free Wi-Fi is available, and the code is available at reception.
The lounge is air-conditioned with flight information available on several screens.
Food and Drink
Like my recent visit to the Aspire Lounge at Liverpool Airport, I visited in the morning, so the food options included self-service hot and cold breakfast options.

Staff
The staff working on the day were pleasant, and the lounge was kept clean.
However, I have visited the lounge when it’s busy, and you can end up waiting for service, but there was no such problem on this visit.
Lounge Overview
The visit met my expectations of the lounge, but would I pay £30.99 for up to two hours? Probably not!
However, would I pay over £30.00 per person for the experience? Probably not!
I wouldn’t usually stay more than an hour in a Priority Pass Lounge as I would likely be travelling in the UK or to Europe. Therefore I would find it pointless to spend the money.
But, the one thing the lounge does provide and is worth the money are the views of the airport apron and runways.
Have you visited the lounge before? If so, leave a comment below or write down your thoughts regarding my review.
