For our stay in Marrakech, we booked Riad Andalla Spa for one night as a relaxing break from the Sol Oasis Marrakech Hotel. We wanted somewhere more traditional, peaceful and personal, and this beautiful riad gave us exactly that. Our stay in the Superior Double Laroussa Room, The Laroussa Room, felt calm and characterful, with lovely Moroccan design, great food and excellent service.
As part of our Riad Andalla Spa experience, we found that it offers a very different experience from that of a larger hotel or resort. It feels smaller, more intimate and more connected to the heart of Marrakech. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a peaceful escape from the busy streets outside.

First Impressions of Riad Andalla Spa
As soon as we stepped inside Riad Andalla Spa, the atmosphere felt calm and welcoming. Marrakech can be busy, colourful and full of energy, so walking into a peaceful riad makes a real difference. The riad had a lovely traditional feel, with Moroccan details, warm service and a relaxed setting.
This was exactly what we were looking for during our one-night stay. After spending time at Sol Oasis Marrakech, we wanted a change of scene and a more traditional Marrakech experience. Riad Andalla Spa gave us that straight away.
Location
Well-placed for exploring Marrakech and enjoying the Medina, the Riad Andalla Spa gives you a more authentic feel for the city, especially compared with staying further out at a resort-style hotel.
The location worked well for us because it gave us the chance to enjoy a more traditional side of Marrakech. It felt like a good base for a short stay, especially if you want to explore, enjoy the atmosphere and then return to somewhere peaceful.
As with many riads in Marrakech, access can feel a little different from that of a standard hotel, especially if you are used to large hotel entrances and taxi drop-off points. However, this is part of the riad experience and adds to the charm.
Riad Andalla Spa: Superior Double Laroussa Room
We stayed in the Superior Double Room, the Laroussa Room. The room suited the riad’s style perfectly. It felt traditional, comfortable and full of Moroccan character.
The Laroussa Room was not a plain hotel room. It had more charm and personality, which is one of the main reasons to book a riad in Marrakech. It gave us a peaceful place to return to after being out in the city and felt very much in keeping with the property’s overall atmosphere.
For a one-night stay, the room worked very well. It was comfortable and relaxing, and it gave us the traditional riad experience we were hoping for.
Food and Drink
The food at Riad Andalla Spa was very good and was one of the highlights of our stay. During our one-night stay, we ate at the hotel restaurant and enjoyed a traditional tagine. It felt like the perfect meal for a traditional riad stay in Marrakech, full of flavour and served in a relaxed, peaceful setting.
We also enjoyed breakfast at Riad Andalla Spa, which added even more value to the stay. Breakfast included fresh fruit juices, seasonal fruit salads, homemade yoghurt, fresh cheeses, a selection of breads and pastries, soft French pancakes, Viennese pastries, cakes, and homemade jams.
We enjoyed the relaxed feel of dining in the riad. It felt much more personal than eating in a large hotel restaurant. The food matched the traditional setting and helped make our short stay feel special.
For us, the combination of a traditional tagine dinner, a generous Moroccan-style breakfast, friendly service and a peaceful setting made the food and drink at Riad Andalla Spa a real highlight of our visit.

The service at Riad Andalla Spa was excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming, which made the stay feel easy from start to finish.
This is one of the best things about staying in a riad. The service often feels more personal than in a larger hotel, and that was certainly the case here. We felt looked after without the service being too formal.
For a short one-night stay, good service matters even more because first impressions count. Riad Andalla Spa did this very well.

However, if you want a traditional Marrakech riad with a peaceful atmosphere, good food and friendly service, Riad Andalla Spa is a very good choice.
