Qantas Business Lounge Sydney Review

We visited the Qantas Business Lounge in Sydney before our LATAM Business Class flight from Sydney to Auckland. The lounge sits airside on Level 3, with entry via escalators, and it opens daily from 5 am to 10 pm.

During our visit, the lounge felt overcrowded. It was difficult to find a space, and the lounge did not feel calm or relaxing. The seating areas looked busy, and we had to move around before finding somewhere suitable to sit.

We did not eat in the lounge. We had already enjoyed a light snack on our previous British Airways flight, and we knew we would eat again on our next LATAM Business Class flight to Auckland.

The best part of the Qantas Business Lounge Sydney experience came from the showers. We both managed to have a shower, which felt great after a long journey. That practical benefit made the lounge worthwhile, even though the main seating areas felt too crowded.

After our showers, we moved to the raised table area near the wine. That area worked better for us and gave us somewhere more practical to sit before boarding.

Overall, the Qantas Business Lounge Sydney did the job, but it did not impress us. The overcrowding made the lounge feel more functional than premium. However, the shower facilities added real value and helped us feel refreshed before our onward flight.

What We Liked

We liked the shower facilities. Being able to freshen up before our next flight made a big difference.

The raised table area near the wine also worked better for us than the busier seating zones.

The lounge also offered the practical features we needed, including drinks, Wi-Fi, and somewhere to wait before boarding.

What Could Improve

The main issue was overcrowding. The lounge felt too busy, and it was difficult to find a comfortable place to sit.

The lounge also lacked a relaxed, premium feel during our visit. A Business Class lounge should offer a calmer pre-flight experience, especially before a long travel day.

Qantas Business Lounge Sydney Final Verdict

Overall Rating: ★★★☆☆ 3 out of 5
Expectation Level: Met expectations
Best For: Travellers who want a shower, a quick drink or a short pre-flight stop.
Not Ideal For: Travellers seeking a quiet, premium, or relaxing lounge experience.
Best Feature: Shower facilities.
Biggest Letdown: Overcrowding and limited comfortable seating.

Final Verdict: The Qantas Business Lounge Sydney served as a practical stopover before our LATAM flight, especially since we both managed to shower. However, the overcrowded atmosphere stopped it from feeling like a premium lounge experience.
